It's the biggest annual event in the province - a mass gathering of tribes from across the province for a proud celebration of traditional culture.

It's the adherence to traditional authenticity that distinguishes the Enga Cultural Show from the rest.  

 

Singsing, rituals, craft and skills from diverse tribes and districts are showcased every year in Wabag town on the second weekend in August.

 VILLAGE FESTIVALS 

VILLAGE FESTIVALS

Ceremonies, rituals and singsing, are staged in Enga's far remote villages and visitors are now being welcomed in to experience these festivals.

Held in September in Lagaip Pogera District.

The people of Yalum welcome visitors to their rural station, for authentic traditional feasts and a cultural showcase.

LONDOL MALI FESTIVAL

Held in Kompiam-Ambum District.

Held every July in Laiagam District, before for the Enga Cultural Show.

 

This festival is centred around the Sangaii - a series of traditional initiaion rituals for young Engan males.
